Hello,

I’m Ben Davis.

I’m a formally trained Design Researcher dedicated to understanding and advocating for the voice of the user in product development and strategic decision-making.

For the past 15 years, I’ve collaborated with designers, marketers, engineers, and business leaders to drive innovation in healthcare. As a consultant, I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the world’s leading med-tech and pharmaceutical companies, helping them develop safer, more intuitive, and commercially successful products and services.

My work has not only shaped industry-leading solutions but also advanced healthcare by improving experiences for both patients and professionals.

What is Design Research?

Design Research—often referred to as User Experience (UX) Research or the Voice of the Customer—is a systematic process of studying users, behaviors, and contexts to inform and enhance product, service, and experience design. It leverages both qualitative and quantitative methods to uncover insights that drive innovation, usability, and business impact.

In the medical device and pharmaceutical industries, Design Research plays a critical role in ensuring that products are safe, effective, and aligned with real user needs. By deeply understanding the experiences of healthcare professionals, patients, and other stakeholders, it helps bridge the gap between technology and human-centered solutions, ultimately leading to better healthcare outcomes.
